  • Selling

Knowing the Community and its amenities along with highlighting the attributes of your home goes a long way in helping to sell your home. In Florida lifestyle is such an important part of matching the buyer to the home. The strategy for selling the house is very simple. It begins with knowing where buyers come    from, and pricing the property properly, present the house and community in their best light, you are then able to market to those buyers. Remember pricing is 90% of marketing effectiveness. With the Internet, today’s buyers come in knowing the market value of homes and very quickly recognize overpriced homes. We will help you understand the current market so you can price your property competitively. I personally see all sales to completion… being there for all inspections and helping to resolve any concerns…insuring any financing that is needed is available on time along with the many other details of closing the transaction.

·        Buying

Listening to what a buyer wants is very basic to helping you find the right home. Living here is quite different than being here for a few weeks on vacation. Understanding the lifestyle you desire, reviewing the cost for amenities that you may not be interested in will help you select the right Community. One of the biggest mistakes I hear from people is that they underestimated the number of visitors that they have had and need a larger home. For the same reason that you are looking here, people love to come to enjoy the Florida weather. By knowing the communities a lot of time can be saved and you can be assured that you will enjoy your purchase for a long time.

Having grown up in the Nashville, Tennessee area, Bob went to high school at Goodlettsville High School, which had an enrollment of about 300 students. Bob obtained his Electrical Engineering Degree from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville and then went to work in Dayton, Ohio for the Delco Products Division (now known as Delphi) of the General Motors Company. Bob had met his wife to be, Ruth Ann Rucker, in Dayton the previous summer while working as a student for Delco. He worked in several positions in the design and testing of various electric motors and actuators for the GM automobiles. He advanced in management through a Materials Engineering Group and New Product Development Group and was Resident Engineer for the Delco manufacturing plant in Rochester, NY, (living in Webster, NY) and later at the Harrison Radiator Plant in Lockport, NY,  (living in East Amherst/Clarence, NY). After retirement from General Motors, Bob helped set up the Athlete’s Village for the 1993 World University Games held in Buffalo. He began his Real Estate career in Amherst, New York and continued in Naples and Bonita Springs Florida after relocating to this part of paradise in 2001.

Having celebrated recently their wedding anniversary with a super size ice cream sundae complements of the Hyatt Hotel at Coconut Point, Bob & Ruth Ann began their family in Beavercreek, Ohio. Bob met and married Ruth Ann Rucker in Dayton and have raised two fine sons. Kevin and his wife Cheryl live in Texas. Scott and Julie are educators and live in Ohio with two beautiful and extremely bright and talented daughters…no prejudice here from a proud grandpa.

Ruth Ann was a coal miners daughter, the oldest of 6 children, and grew up in Van Lear Kentucky, (Eastern KY.) She went to Berea College in Kentucky and moved to Dayton, Ohio where she worked for the National Cash Register (NCR). After we married she retired from NCR when our first son was born. Later she became involved as a Professional Volunteer with the United Methodist Church, holding several positions with the United Methodist Women positions, President of Dayton South District, President West Ohio area and Dean of Midwest Regional School. While we were in New York she was elected to Board of Global Ministries where she held Leadership roles with the national Division, Mission Personnel and the Women’s Division. She was elected to be Vice President of the Women’s Division at the National level of over 1,000,000 United Methodist Women. This position provided her with opportunities for travel both nationally and internationally. After her Vice President position ended, Ruth Ann while still in New York obtained her Real Estate license and is experienced in the working of the Real Estate business. She has been a valuable asset in working with Clients even though she did not get her license in Florida. She has continued her Church volunteer activities after we moved to Florida at North Naples United Methodist Church. A couple of years ago she accepted a part time position on the Church Staff. This position, Congregational Development Director, includes recruiting new members and educating them in the purpose and activities of the church.

With her varied experience and being a people person, I enjoy having her assist with my Clients. Feel free to discuss your needs with her if I am not available.
